Scope of Responsibilities:

¨ Conduct a minimum of 25 prospecting calls to new accounts weekly and building new relationships with local & national companies.

¨ Respond in a timely manner to all requests for information from potential customers.

¨ Complete sales reports/funnel by close of business Thursday.

¨ Operate and maintain the office in a professional manner. Maintain a professional appearance through proper grooming, dress and attitude

¨ Assist in formulating marketing plans and execute the plan by achieving objectives outlined in plan by dates specified.

¨ Understand and utilize in a professional, courteous manner all company sales tools and methodology in all client negotiations.

¨ Possess a thorough knowledge of Heart of America’s guest service standards, meeting and F&B capabilities and sell them in a professional, efficient manner

¨ Understand and utilize provided software to create and maintain professional, accurate sales communications, contracts, BEO’s and records.

¨ Participate in all sales efforts including trade shows, off site calls, telemarketing and mailings.

¨ Understand and execute HOA accident prevention, hotel security, personnel, emergency and key control policies at all times

¨ Accurately and timely complete all assigned tasks and duties as directed by the Director of Sales and Chief Operating Executive.

¨ Attend weekly hotel executive staff meetings. Contribute information on existing and future events, assist in making recommendations regarding future and past business, and maintain forecasting information, report upcoming tours scheduled. Effectively and professionally coordinate and communicate with all departments to ensure courteous, accurate, efficient delivery of our services

¨ Position does require flexibility in work hours in order to maximize sales opportunities through tradeshows and networking events.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

This position requires learning and understanding hotel operations and sales responsibility. A 4 year bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Administration with proven experience is preferred. Successful track record which shows an increase in business as a result of individual efforts is required. An outgoing personality, the desire to win and succeed, and being part of a team are a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,546.40 - $52,442.97 per year
